Newsletter August 2016

Shalom, Dear Partner of Abundant Bread of Salvation,

It is always a pleasure to update you on the Good News of what is happening with our humanitarian work, which is physically affecting the lives and souls of hundreds of people every month.  One thing we want to also update you on in this report is the constant barrage of challenges and spiritual warfare that happens behind the scenes.  The work we do is not your typical pony ride, as a matter of fact, as I write this, there are two specific scriptures that the Lord brings to mind:  James 1:2,  “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds.”  Also, Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”  Maybe these words also speak to your situations as well?  Please let us know how our team can pray for you?

Recently, we had the most unexpected guests come to our Food Bag Distribution Center to volunteer with us.  It was a group of intercessors and pastors from Kenya. They were so encouraging and practically supportive to the poor and needy people that we serve!  We had an opportunity to pray for healing over many and they even witnessed one accept their Messiah!  Halleluyah!  Believe me, these servants from Kenya really know what poverty is.  Out of all the people in the world and out of their own poverty, they support our charity!  What an amazing example of faith for all of us!  An Interesting fact; recently, Israel strengthened its relationship with Kenya.
A sight for sore eyes:  another wonderful partnership that happened with Abundant Bread of Salvation this last month was with a great organization called Jewish Voice Ministries International (JVMI).  We did an Optical Clinic together which included free eye exams as well as giving away almost 100 new, high-quality reading glasses, all at our central headquarter’s distribution center.  This outreach involved four trained opticians and assistants who helped to distribute personal care, love and refreshments.  Thank you, JVMI, for blessing our local Jewish Holocaust survivors, veterans, single mothers and widows.
Have any of you ever met an orphan?  We always find it amazing how important the least of these little ones are in the eyes of God.  It is so important that the Lord Himself included the below scripture verse in James 1:27,  “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this:  to look after orphans and widows in their distress.”  We are happy to say that this is exactly what we at Abundant Bread of Salvation have been able to do in the most amazingly creative way during this scorching hot summer.  We organized two buses filled with at least 80 orphan girls and counselors and took them on an all-day trip to a local artificial snow ski resort at a Biblical sight called, “Mount Gilboa” in the Jezreel Valley.  This day also included breakfast, a time of playing on jumpies in the Galilee as well as a glorious boat ride complete with lunch and ice cream for all the kids.
Must we say any more except THANK YOU for your continued prayers and sacrificial support!  You all are making an eternal impact for these precious ones.
Please continue walking with us in the purest form of true religion, putting your faith into action.  Please continue praying for our family as well.
